Before we launch into the new floor plans we have released, I want to take a moment to just say WOW.

A lot has happened since last month’s Oak Leaf! We hope all of you are safe and being responsible stewards of our society. At GLH, we have our model home center by appointment only, both during the week and on weekends. As an “essential” industry, we continue to make deliveries and service our clients that are currently building. We are consulting people on their designs, quoting homes and drawing plans. And clients are buying homes and Log Cabin 2 Go park models!

Our philosophy at GLH is that now is a time to be mindful and aware, but also optimistic for the future. We cannot let this pandemic rob our confidence and dreams. Together as a nation we will succeed and prosper. This too shall pass and we will all be smarter as a result.

For our readers that are spending their “shelter in place” in their log home: please send us pictures of what you are doing to make the time pass! Share the joy of living in a log home in even the most difficult times. You can email us or tag us on Facebook or Instagram @GastineauLogHomes.

This month we are continuing to share some of our newly released designs. See if one fits you and your families dream. If not, give us a call and tell us what you are looking for so we can create something just for you!

New Floor Plans!

We have added a LOT of new floor plans to our website. Here we are highlighting five of those new plans. Each are linked to the plan on our website for more details.

Belle Vista Floor PlanBelle Vista Floor PlanBelle Vista Floor Plan

Belle Vista: Are you looking for a plan that’s all open spaces and the ultimate in casual living? Then check out the Belle Vista! The soaring front-to-back cathedral living space with lots of windows gives tons of natural light, even with the porches. Add more bedrooms in your walk out basement for a Reverse Ranch design. Don’t need an office? That space could be added to the master bath area. All of the open space in this design allows your creative juices to flow!

Redbud: The Redbud is actually a variation of our very popular Seven Gables plan. More and more, people are asking for a one story with a big pantry, drop zone, and larger utility area. And a very cool back porch! Need more bedrooms? Make it a Reverse Ranch and put them in the basement. Or, of course, you could add a second floor!

Dogwood: Looking for a lot of features in a smaller footprint? The Dogwood may be the perfect design for you! In just over 2000 sqft, there are three bedrooms with a very nice master suite, two and a half baths, and a utility room on the main level. The gable in front adds great curb appeal but also brings natural light into the living space. The second floor rear dormer provides full height head space for spacious bedrooms. The Dogwood provides a lot of house in a rectangular footprint, which is the most economical style home to build.

The Timbers: This home has all the features you would expect in a luxury log home … along with some surprises! The first thing to catch the eye is the double staircase in the entry. From there you’ll find a distinctive feature in each room: a double sided fireplace in both the master suite and the living room, an octagonal breakfast space, an abundance of natural light in the living space, a post and beam carport that doubles as a party porch. The list goes on and on! This truly is the house that has everything.

Norton: The Norton is like a fine wine…. it improves with age. A great floor plan that lives open and smooth. The cathedral ceiling in the master bedroom makes it feel spacious and airy. The 1400 sqft main level is compact yet contains the essentials. The post and beam porte cochere is an expansive front porch that provides protection from the elements when needed.

Open Houses:

The GLH Model Home Center on I-70 in central MO is open by appointment only, both during the week and weekends, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We have three houses available to tour! Click here for more, including directions.

Answer to the Trivia Question:

The longest marathon watching television is 94 hours, and was achieved by CyberLink, using PowerDVD, with the support of Diffusion PR and participant Alejandro “AJ” Fragoso, in New York, New York, USA on 12 April 2016. The record attempt was in support of CyberLink’s new video optimization software for streaming media.
