Butt & Pass
The Butt & Pass corner is our standard log home corner style. This overlapping corner creates “spaces” between the rows for the authentic log home appearance. This corner can be used with either of our log sizes and profiles.
Saddlenotch
The Saddlenotch corner provides logs that interlock and stack together. This corner provides the look that all log rows extend so there are no gaps. This corner can be used with either of our log sizes and profiles.
Dovetail
Dovetail corners are cut to interlock together, providing a craftsman style appearance and fit. This corner requires an 8″x8″ log but can be made in any profile.
Our Profile Options
At Gastineau, we offer two log sizes: our standard 8″ x 6″ and an 8″ x 8″. While our most popular log profile is the classic “D-log” (a.k.a: Round/Flat Bevel), we offer other options in both log sizes. See them below to choose which one fits your log home best!
