CAD Designer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence. In this role, you’ll be able to shape and execute strategies that fulfill client aspirations and contribute to the legacy of a family-owned company that values quality, craftsmanship, and customer relationships.

The CAD Designer plays a crucial role in turning our clients’ dream homes into buildable plans. This position creates detailed, accurate blueprints for custom log homes, hybrid homes, commercial buildings, and specialty structures. The work environment values precision, consistency, and well-defined processes. You will develop strong technical expertise through hands-on drafting work and direct collaboration with an expert in log home design and engineering. What You'll Do

  • Prepare CAD blueprints, details, and drawings for all Gastineau Log Homes product lines, including log and hybrid homes, park models, camper cabins, pavilions, barndominiums, commercial buildings, and future structures
  • Develop preliminary designs, planning drawings, material schedules, standard details, and custom technical drawings
  • Translate client preferences into accurate and buildable plans
  • Collaborate with the Director of Design and Engineering and other designers to ensure accuracy throughout all project stages
  • Provide blueprint updates to estimating and sales teams in a timely and accurate manner
  • Attend client meetings when needed to review design preferences and discuss modifications
  • Assist in creating visual content for promotional materials such as website graphics, literature, videos, and construction manuals
  • Maintain current design software and tools to support high-quality work output

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required
  • Two years of design experience required, four years preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Revit CAD
  • Familiarity with Enscape, building codes, and industry standards
  • Clear communication skills for client and internal discussions
  • Logical thinking and strong technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to stay organized and focused while managing multiple details
  • Valid driver’s license
